“Our machines are disturbingly lively, and we ourselves frighteningly inert.” – Donna Haraway
On February 5, I had the opportunity to speak at a Philosophical Café organized by Studium Generale. In my presentation, I raise critical questions about techno-optimistic visions with human protagonists and technologies as passive instruments. I also introduce several More-than-Human projects by me and colleagues at TU Delft IDE.
The evening ended with a lovely discussion about language, perspectives, responsibilities and culture change.
My presentation (and that of fellow speakers Max van der Heijden and Arita Baaijens) can now be seen below (in Dutch).
Many thanks to Studium Generale Delft and Sanne Helbers for the organization.
